Ensure that the fingernail is located under the finger stop on the SpO2 sensor clamp.
Avoid placing the sensor on the same arm as a blood pressure cuff, arterial catheter, or intravascular line.
Remove any nail polish, as it can affect accuracy.
Do not use the sensor inside or near an MRI.
Keep intense light sources away from the sensor.
For long-term use, change the measurement site every 4 hours to maintain the integrity of the patient's skin.
